Per Diem is a daily rate for you and your dependents while you travel from your old duty location to your new duty location.
Your mileage entitlements during your military moves is a great opportunity to get reimbursed for travel in your personally owned vehicles. Although most people take advantage of the reimbursement for moving, they often forget that reimbursement for trips to airports or to ship a vehicle are also reimbursable. Don’t forget to keep track of ALL of your mileage!
